About the Exhibit
“The mission of Unmasking Brain Injury is to promote awareness of the prevalence of brain injury; to give survivors a voice and the means to educate others of what it’s like to live with a brain injury; to show others that persons living with a disability due to their brain injury are like anyone else, deserving of dignity, respect, compassion and the opportunity to prove their value as citizens in their respective communities.” — unmaskingbraininjury.org
With the help of our Survivor Engagement Coordinator, Laura Johnson, BIAAZ has offered participation in this national program for several years. The result is over 400 masks created by survivors of brain injury and their family and friends. We have proudly exhibited these masks and stories at facilities throughout Arizona. Now we are excited to bring you the opportunity to see them all in one place whenever you want.
