ABOUT DR. SUE WOLF

Dr. Sue holds a MA degree in School Psychology and a PhD in Educational Psychology. She is currently contracting with the AZ Dept. of Education to conduct statewide training for professionals regarding exceptional and neurodiverse students and their ongoing needs, with an emphasis on trauma, resilience and traumatic brain injuries.

Dr. Sue also holds two post-doctoral certificates: one in Participatory Adult Education and one in Asset-based Community Development. She founded and is the Executive Director of Empowerment Research, LLC and her company has provided training and program evaluation services for education, medical, behavioral health, and social service organizations nationally since 1998. Her clients here in AZ include the AZ Dept. of Education, Dept. of Economic Security, non-profits such as Raising Special Kids and the Intertribal Council of AZ (ITCA) along with serving several other tribal nations across the Southwest.

She serves as full-time faculty at Diné College on the Navajo Nation in the School of Diné Studies and Education providing teacher preparation courses for pre-service educators in the areas of Human Development, Early Literacy, Second-Language Learning, Statistics and Research along with Special Education. On a personal note, Dr. Sue is also the parent of an adult son with traumatic brain injury from childhood and she herself is a survivor of severe traumatic brain injury.
