This class is specially designed for survivors of all types of brain injury or brain trauma.

The instructor is adept at providing accommodations for those with limited mobility or who use a wheelchair.
Is This Your First Class?
Join us for this first preparatory session. You'll meet the Brain Injury Alliance staff who help run this weekly program, Janice Podzimek and Kristin O'Shaughnessy. You will have a chance to learn how to set up your space to properly participate in the classes. Learn what you will need to have with you for each week.
Then you'll get a chance to hear from our own Suzy Albanese, OTR/L as she discusses Falls Prevention. She'll be looking at the relationship of falls to acquired brain injuries and vice versa. You'll gain tips on how to reduce person-based as well as environmental-based risks of falling. We will also provide resources for those seeking in-home evaluation of fall risks post-injury.
