Survivor Sunday with
Beth Schachtman

Beth is married for almost 30 years with two daughters, 27 and 32. She worked first in non-profits, then attended graduate school, and began a 30 year career in Human Resources. She and her husband left their home in Rochester, NY in 2018 to look for a warmer home base, and after 9 months of nomad life, ended up in Chicago for treatment of Beth’s recently discovered brain tumor.

After removing most of the tumor, and going through radiation, they moved to Tucson. She spent 2 years trying to reduce head pain, and recover in other ways. While continuing the long healing journey, she also attended yoga teacher training, and is now teaching yoga once or twice a week, has gone back to biking and hiking, and recently also started to get stronger through personal training.
