SENSORY CHALLENGES AFTER BRAIN INJURY
Wednesday, October 18th 11:30 AM (AZ TIME)
REGISTRATION CLOSES TUESDAY 10/18 @ NOON
Sensory processing refers to how the brain takes in and processes sensory information. Often, after a brain injury, sensory processing patterns change making sensory stimuli in the everyday environment difficult to process and may be overstimulating. This presentation will provide an introduction to sensory processing, how the brain processes sensory information, and provide some practice strategies to help compensate for sensory systems that may become overstimulated after a brain injury.
