Join us for a Model Systems Knowledge Translation Center Virtual Open House for Brain Injury Alliance Staff and Volunteers.
Every year thousands of people from dozens of countries access the resources offered online from the Model Systems Knowledge Translation Center (MSKTC). The mission of the MSKTC is to reduce the time that it takes newly acquired research knowledge to be applied to rehabilitation and community living. The center aims to make research meaningful to those living with spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury and burn injury.
Join your hosts Dr. Cindy Cai, MSKTC Director and BIAAZ CEO Carrie Collins for a virtual tour of the MSKTC website, resources, and projects.
During our time together we will review the knowledge translation strategies used to develop and disseminate free research-based and user-friendly resources for people with traumatic brain injury and how the MSKTC works with TBI Model Systems and TBI stakeholders to ensure the resources are high quality and user friendly.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand how knowledge translation strategies have been used to develop research-based resources for people with TBI
- Learn what free research-based resources from the Model System Knowledge Translation Center are available and how people with TBI may benefit from them.
- Learn what free knowledge translation tools from the Model System Knowledge Translation Center are available to help professionals communicate with people with TBI and implement evidence-based practices.
