Dr. Emily Kade is an Arizona licensed psychologist and trained executive function coach specializing in pediatric and adult neuropsychology. Dr. Kade provides pediatric and adult evaluations, therapy, and executive function consultation services in private practice for children, teens, and adults with neurodevelopmental and neurocognitive conditions, including ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, language/motor impairment, brain injury, and dementia. She consults at Encompass Health Valley of the Sun Rehabilitation Hospital supporting patients with acquire brain injury, and other cardiac, neurological, and orthopedic conditions.

Communication with loved ones after a brain injury can be essential to recovery. However, this can also be a sources of stress and misunderstanding. Join us for a buffet social lunch as we talk about shifting and changing dynamics that occur with spouses, children, friends, and family members following brain injury.
Topics of discussion will include navigating conflict with loved ones, appropriate self-care and communication strategies required to strengthen relationships within families, setting personal boundaries to maintain well-being, navigating through uncertainty, building frameworks of emotional health and resiliency, and radical acceptance of one’s new identity and current circumstances.
This event is for adult survivors of brain injury, age 18+, and their adult family members.
